To keep frozen is to preserve something in a fixed state for a prolonged time period. Yet things that are kept frozen, are no longer the same as they were before. If left alone in their frozen state, time will start to erode their features. Constant care has to be put in to maintain the integrity of the subject.

"Frozen" is a typographic collage in response to a location - Tiong Bahru, Singapore. Type collected from the vicinity were printed and frozen in blocks of ice. The area has a neat mix of both hipster cafes and traditional wet markets. but several more years down the road, what will become of that area? Will it still be as quaint as before?
