TES1000 Exhibition

The Edge Singapore’s (TES) 1000th issue exhibition was held at Jurong Regional Library, L2 Skybridge on 4 - 19 Sept 2021. The project brief was straightforward and open-ended — to commemorate their 1000th issue, gain new traction and give back to the readers.

I designed a traditional space that would appeal to readers of all generations, while staying ‘interactive’ in spite of the limitations given the COVID-19 situation. This interactive component took the form of a photo hunt activity done in collaboration with local artist, Tobyato and a contest that required you to take a walk down memory lane and go through all 1000 covers of TES’ publications. Limited edition tote bags were also designed and given out to the public during the opening weekend.

Apart from the physical exhibition that takes centerstage, I also developed a series of print ads, digital banners, promotional videos and landing pages. Despite the many restrictions and limitations, the event was a success with a footfall of over 3,000 people and nearly 500 entries for the Q&A contest which required you to go through all 1000 covers in search for the right answers.
